just pretty

It feels like forever since I've sat down and posted while at home.  Glad to be back!

Let's jump right into business.  I'm currently feelin' the white so let's roll with that.  We had plenty of sun today and yesterday [after days and days of monsoon-like weather which nearly threw me into a blahs + blues tailspin] so now I feel alive and charged.

I love daisies.  Are they hard to grow?  By hard I guess I'm asking if can they survive days on end without being watered?  I'm pretty bad about caring for plants.  Really really wish I had a green thumb.  Hmmm, maybe someday one of the offspring will bust a move and surprise me with an interest in gardening.  Then I could just be their assistant.  I dream of someday having an herb garden.  I have such admiration for people who can do that kind of thing.

Love love love this entryway.  I'm pretty sure that's Kelly Wearstler's fabric on the chairs.  Could eat it with a spoon.

Couldn't you deal with a chic little white workspace like this?  What a great spot to sit and sip coffee while writing a letter, paying bills, blogging, hiding from reality, anything really.

I've previously posted every other room in Dara Caponigro's home so I may as well toss in her bedroom to make it a complete set.  She's got serious style.  That headboard is something else.  A perfect ending to a pretty white day.

In an odd way, I was really missing the white thing here. Good to see you are back at it.
Does your Easter look like this?
I just see bowls of white chocolate, white peeps, white jelly beans, white baskets, big white bows and white linens ironed by a special someone.

Hi Seleta, I’m a “newbie” to your blog, via Eddie Ross’s site. Love it girl! I’m also green with envy that you got to spend time with E & J. Sounds like y’all had a fantastic time together. They are the cutest couple and I’m sure fun to hang with! I look forward to reading more from you at a later date. Good night to all

Beautiful pictures … I just love white.
And, no, daisies aren’t hard to grow. I got a shasta daisy plant a couple of years ago, threw it in the ground and it did fine. They come back every year too bigger and more beautiful.

Love that first pic and what I love is that everything on her shelves aren’t white… there’s a few other mis-matched pieces thrown in. BEAUTIFUL! Welcome back… we too… almost floated away! So glad for the sun!

Ahhhh…..gorgeous white images. I just planted an herb garden about a week ago. I’m taking the whole gardening thing one day at a time.

Love the white bedroom! It just reaffirms in me that I will be painting my own bedroom white within the next few weeks – as soon as it warms up a little bit more here and I can open the windows. Loved the spread about your visit with Eddie R. I lived in the next town (Copake NY) for a few years right after getting married – all the familiar places in your posts!

White, white, white. I just posted some of my own house – and, guess what, it’s mostly white! I LOOOOOOOVE white. Dara’s room is the best. We are also enjoying the sunshine here in Palm Beach.

daisies are so simple, but be careful as they self-seed and will take over any garden.

I am certainly lovin’ me some white these days. I want to paint everything in my bedroom white and repaint all the walls. And honestly, if my kitchen looked like the one in that top photo, I would literally never leave it.
As for the daisies – yep, they’re easy. I grow them, too.

Hi Seleta, your blog helps me so much… wish I could come over and plant daisies for you! I am a horticulturist and own a landscaping company, Chloedezigns landscaping. http://www.chloedezigns.com... just in case you need credentials… lol. Back to Daisies… they need nothing after first year and will give you a repeat performance year after year. When planting them… mix composted manure and peat mixture with your soil in equal parts and plant. Water regularly first year then they are no fuss… cut and enjoy. Shasta Daisies are perfect for you. Ohhh one more thing.. must have SUNNY location. You are a doll… love your blog.
