Glad to see you have found your purpose, which is to tempt us with such pretties. Now, I must ask, if you were to add one color to those graceful rooms, what -color would it be.

Love the pictures! Thank you for the pick-me-up. If anyone would define or “label” this style – what would you call it?
This is one of my all time magazines, although it was from Traditional Home. I have the picture of the mora clock in the front hallway on my post from Saturday on beautiful clocks – I could gaze at this picture all day!
The owner of the home is an antique dealer and designer. His store in Bethesda, MD is just as serene as his home. Check it out on the web – http://www.tone-on-tone.com
Sorry, didn’t edit before I sent – I meant this is one of my all time favorite magazine spreads!

I’m no expert, but I can say that I recognize elements of Swedish country style in these pics. The gray/white palette, the touches of gold in the sconces and mirrors, the pickled floors, and very few accessories are all hallmarks of the style. It’s has origins in classical French style, but it’s more restrained.
Also, I believe that gorgeous clock is a mora clock, named for the swedish region where it was made. I want one in a bad, bad way! I do a kid-friendly, (white floors? Are you kidding me?) budget-friendly version of Swedish country in my house.
oooohhh these pictures take my breath away!! Whoever lives there,,,, “will you be my neighbor”…?

This is the very reason that I added you to the little kitchen tour- but children/family do have a way of taking up any amount of free time we may have.
