Love, love, love the new Canadian-based online magazine, Covet Garden. They’re a little different than the other design mags in that each issue is dedicated to one fabulous, lived in space that has not been styled by a designer. Take for instance this month’s issue, which features the irresistibly adorable home of two school teachers, Shelley and Brandon, who designed everything on a shoestring budget.
Their new little bundle, Clover, has a nursery that caught my breath.
This hallway desk was actually a discard they found along the sidewalk. It’s perfect in this hallway nook.
Each page offers more and more inspiration as well as sources for design goods in their home, many of which were new to me. Like this cool wall organizer that came from here.
I love that two school teachers have a vintage classroom map in their dining space.
Totally adore Shelley’s creative space…so organized yet not too fixed or fussy.
When I saw this picture of her handmade Mason jar cozies, I flipped. And immediately thought, “I need to learn how to knit.” On the other side of this picture Covet Garden provides detailed instructions on how to make these little numbers. Would these not be darling holiday or hostess gifts stuffed with goodies?!?
I for one cannot wait for the next Covet Garden issue. You can check out their equally delightful September issue right here.

Would love to see you knit!
I love this home! Oh, that nursery is so sweet, isn’t it? I’ll have to check out that magazine.
Aren’ t you loving this weather?:)
Love this online magazine. Thank you for sharing it. Love the nursery too. What creative people they are indeed! And I am also going to start taking knitting lessons.
Ahhhh that nursery!!!!!!!! Love it…. going to have to check it out…. love all these new online mags…. so fun!
Have a great weekend!
Clover’s little nursery is adorable. What a fun, colorful and happy space! I just this last weekend went out and bought some knitting needles and yarn. My Mother taught me when I was a teenager….thought I’d give it a whirl and see what I can remember!
Okay, so I’m not the only one who is interested in the knitting thing…just tonight I happened to sit next to a woman who was knitting a chic wrap for fall. She showed me how she was making her loops and it looked relatively easy and kind of therapeutic.
Allison, how incredible that your mom taught you how to knit and now you’re going to make a few things!

Great pictures! I am subscribing to Canadian House & Home and now you’re showing me this one – it’s lovely as well. Oh, I used to knit a lot of sweaters, B.C. (before California).

Loove those beautiful pom-poms! and this magazine. Thanks for sharing, Seleta!
Fantastic pompoms :) Knitting can’t be any more difficult than crochet, right? I learned when pregnant with my first daughter… It was the only way to keep my hands busy so I wouldn’t snack the afternoon away!
love that baby room. just found out that I might be possibly chosen to adopt a baby! Tough not to notice things like that beautiful baby room when I might be getting a baby!!
Had to chuckle since instead of saying ‘I need to learn how to knit,’ I thought, ‘Ooohh, I bet I could find those on Etsy!!’ Not so talented in the making things department. Have to rely on others!!
I love this! Those pompoms just make that nursery clustered together like that. I love the alphabet on the wall too! Thanks for sharing. Love your new blog!
What a nursery!!!! I love it! I put the picture into my ideabook!
