pretty pumpkins

It’s that time of year when nature’s color palette fades into shades of burnt orange and pumpkins start popping up everywhere.  Here are a few inspiring ideas for your fall frolicking.

Thinking about hosting an autumn inspired dinner?  Try making these DIY place cards from Twig & Thistle.

How about a pumpkin brunch including this yummy recipe by the seriously cool event stylist and blogger Victoria of City Cradle DesignYou can see more pretty pics from her pancake brunch right here on Design Sponge.

She also designed these beautiful labels that are a free download.  To print them out, just click here. They are perfect for a halloween party, autumn dinner or even Thanksgiving.  She used hers on these bundt cakes.  Yes, she placed them on upside down painted hat boxes and hung them in the trees before serving.  How clever is that?

Here’s a festive way to keep your favorite bottled beverages chilled.  Man style.  Love it.

A few fun ideas…

This easy DIY personalized bucket can make a fun place card and favor all in one…fill it with treats!

Love the faces on these pumpkin balloons.  Of course it was styled by friend and design mastermind, Eddie Ross.  Check out more pics from his shoot here.

I still can’t get over this front porch from Eddie’s shoot.  Those spider balloons and masked tot are beyond adorable.  Love everything about this shot.

What kidlet could resist these funny mummy dogs?  I’m going to have to give them a try! Instructions here.

NOTE: on Friday I’ll have a fun Halloween Fabulous Freebie for EVERYONE to enjoy. This goody sits atop a favorite sweet treat and was designed just for simply seleta readers.  Be sure and check in on Friday!

Great photos! That first is so pretty with the stripes and the outdoor porch looks so cozy. I love Fall and all the warm colors, pumpkins, soups, ciders, a fire in the fire place, walks on a chilly night bundled up in a chunky sweater, toasted marhmallows, the scent of homemade breads and cookies baking in the oven and lots of family and friends gathering. Your photos brought all of this to mind. Thanks for ther reminder of my favorite season!

Thanks for the pretty pumpkin feature. All of the photos are so lovely!

Sara, although the bunt cakes in the trees did make me a little nervous they were too lovely an idea to pass up. I tied them up really tight, plus we cut them down before serving:)
