Our trick or treaters.
Halloween was a blast! It was the wildest Halloween week I can remember for our family – we had events just about every day and night for a solid week. I’ll share a few snapshots of our fun.
This is what it looks like trick or treating in our town. Parents gather their kids and our local shops turn into candy stops for munchkins. It’s a madhouse and quite the sugarfest.
Here they are inside one of our beachside stores, Déjà Vu. Remember meeting my fashionista friend Stephanie? This is her amazing boutique.
Peter was on a mission and went into “fast walker” mode. So most of my pictures were from behind. I didn’t mind it so much because strangely I like capes. He seemed very mysterious but also looked cute with Pip tagging along. She’s a Daddy’s girl.
As he walked, our little two would huddle under his cape like ducklings. Do you see Wonder Woman’s legs?
Friday night, we went to a grown-up costume party with friends. He was a hot Navy captain, and I was a military-ish girl. We assembled our costumes independent of each other, and I was secretly hoping my stripes would outrank his. Nope. He really liked that. He’s more type A than me.
Hanging out with friends – Lisa Marie on the left, Tommy in the middle and Kelly on the right. Tommy and Lisa Marie are both great photographers – Tommy’s the genius who shot my about page photo. No that’s not his real hair and yes that’s an upside down crow hanging off his jacket. ; ) There were literally hundreds of characters there. It was a crazy night!!!
Earlier in the week, our neighborhood hosted a pumpkin festival.
Hayrides, pumpkin carving, face painting. Friend time. Good stuff.
Our girls.
Oops, almost left our little hitchhiker…
What a week! I need at least a day to recover. Our kids have sugar hangovers today and I’m certain all parents across America are wiped. How was your holiday?

Oh those pictures are too cute! My 7 year old son went as a mummy. Not exactly what I would have chosen but oh well. He had a blast. It was brutal getting him up for school this morning. I think we all need an early bedtime tonight.
Pippi is so cute! She looks like a yellow lab! I read this post before the previous, and I thought, those look like Seleta’s kids, but they must be with a different neighborhood dog! I didn’t recognize her at all! All your costumes are great! I love Wonder Woman! So cute!
How cute! Your kids are so precious and you and Peter look so dashing! Your costumes remind me of the Reba & Vince Gill “Heart Won’t Lie” video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL-hSSZn5Pc

Your children are so lucky to be growing up in such a lovely giving community. I took my Tinkerbell (aged 4) and a wee round pumpkin (9 months) trick or treating to their Grans.
It is Guy Fawkes night tonight here in Britain – bring on the bonfires, sparklers and fireworks.
