wednesday white

I have to laugh because it just dawned on me that I tend to post peaceful bathroom scenes when I’m feeling overcommitted and limited on time.  Maybe it’s my subconscious longing for a break? Right now my life is swimming in a sea of deadlines, sports practices, dance classes, school homework and never ending grocery lists.  Maybe you’re feeling the same way.  I like to remind myself  “deep breath in, deep breath out.”

Speaking of relaxing, I adore this botanical plants series.  Nothing seems to calm the nerves quite like being around nature or even seeing nature beautifully arranged in everyday life.  The rhythm of a simple botanical series calms the nerves.  I actually feel relaxed when I look at this.

If you love the harmonious aesthetic of a botanical series, but have a limited budget, try these 10 minute DIY botanicals created by talented friend and Interior Designer Lauren of Pure Style Home.  I think they are positively charming.

I’ve linked to this project before in another botanical post over here, but can’t resist sharing again as we dive into a beautiful spring. Check out her finished garden shed or as she calls it the “Fun Shed” that displays her own DIY botanical series right here.  That is her oldest peanut playing in his new space.

Happy Wednesday!

Never fear, I can’t get enough bathroom inspiration! :-)

Love the botanical print DIY. I always think of plants when I think of Lauren. She knows what to do with them, real, print or otherwise.

I did a post a few weeks ago on a serene bathroom. Its just the first thing that comes to mind when I’m REALLY busy too, so you are not alone! That is a gorgeous space that I only wish I could retreat to right now!

I am so excited you posted this!
My son attended an agricultural high school where they had a semester project to create a portfolio containing 250 different “species’ of plants, leaves etc. They had to print out labels and label them with their latin names. The “book” has been at the bottom of his closet for 3 years now. So excited to proudly frame and display his hard work!!!!

Just what I needed to end this crazy day… midway through this even crazier week!

Currently my master bathroom has just a small, cramped stand-up shower (can it even truly be a bathroom with no bathtub?!?) … but this… this is my dream!

I never do understand having a chair in a bathroom. Strip – get wet- get dry – out. But it is so pretty. I like the idea of doing everything on a more plain, paired down way, but I just can’t get through all the stuff and have the heart/mind to throw it out!

Hopefully the crazy time will end in time for a relaxing weekend.

There is nothing sweeter or cuter then a little boy playing a beautifully decorated room. I love it!

I'd love to hear from you!
