Dear fellow horse addicts in Boston,
I’m a Hunter and love hitting the tack stores. I can only imagine how many there are in Boston!! Are there any cool tack consignment stores that are a must see in the Boston area? With shows coming up in the fall, I would love to find some items for my equestrian daughter plus some goodies for me and Savez.
Kisses to your horses and thanks for the hook up!
xoxo

P.S. Friend Patricia of PVE asked if I brought along a book for my travels. I completely forgot to add that to my collage in the post. Considering where we are, it seemed perfectly appropos to try out this book I’ve had my eye on for quite a while. Will make for a great read!! Jackie was also a passionate equestrian, a Hunter as well, which makes me adore her that much more.

Heading to Boston at the end of August- Hope you’ll post all of your favorite spots while you were there! First time going and I can’t wait!
Hi Seleta,
I grew up in the Boston area and only ever went to Dover Saddlery, which is in Wellesley. Hope that helps!
Hey Mrs. Seleta,
Hope yall had a great day!!! I read that you are looking for consignment stores in Boston??? Check out
1. Second Time Around- 3 locations on Newbury street.. 1 in Beacon Hill on Charles Street!! I LOVE STA :) I buy and sell here also!!
2. The Closet- located a block down from Barbour on Newbury street… Next to the Starbucks!! Mr. Peter may find some nice things here also!
Hope you get to check them out!! HAVE A BLAST!!
I’d also recommend Dover Saddlery in Wellesley – and if you are there check out Susu’s for a cup of coffee/tea and Church Street for wonderful clothing stores. Have fun!
I was (am?) an equestrian before the realities of adulthood hit. I still have my beloved Crosby Hunterdon saddle in my basement, patiently waiting until my children are at least a tad self-sufficient and I have the time and money to ride again. I love seeing your horse-related posts. Keep ‘em coming!

Love that book. Have it my own collection. Hope you had a nice trip. The BEST horse consignment shop is The Middleburg Tack Exchange in Middleburg, VA. Couple that with a trip to nearby Warrenton, to Horse Country, then the entire trip is totally worthwhile, regardless of how long it took to get there.
I am getting TONS of traffic on my blog now, so excited. Hope you are well. We have a big show next week with all three “kids” in this heat! Take care!

If you are looking to take a little drive outside the city, there is the horseman’s exchange in Littleton, MA

I live in the land of riding out here. We are about a 45min journey outside the city. But if you make a day of it, you can stop in Concord on the way which is a gorgeous New England town.
