As part of our adventure theme for the summer, I was hoping to find a creative Art Camp for some of the budding artists in our family. I couldn’t find anything local so I decided to start one. I solicited the help of new friend, Melissa, who happens to be a young and talented watercolorist. I’ll introduce you to her beautiful work in a later post, but today wanted to share our news about our Art Camp!
Melissa and I are both busy mommas, so we had to meet at our “beach office suites” to plan camp details while our own kids played.
We came up with some very creative ideas for the children, we’re both so excited! If you live nearby, please consider signing your child up! It’s going to be a super fun and educational week for them.
Here is the flyer…
This camp is designed for ages 1st – 3rd grade. If you’re interested, please contact Melissa by phone or email, which are both listed in the flyer above.

Oh, what an absolutely enchanting flyer! If I lived nearby, had little kids, I’d be there. Much success!!
Sounds wonderful! What a great format. So inspiring!
lucky campers! bravo to you both!!
What a wonderful idea and a beautiful flyer! How fun for the kids. I think kids art is the best!
I really do wish I lived closer. I too am having a hard time finding an arts camp for my daughter. Good luck to you!!
Congratulations! What a great idea. I don’t have children or live in Florida but I wish you the best of luck.

What a fabulous idea and beautiful poster! I am shocked you couldn’t find a camp. We always were signed up for art classes in the summer growing up and there were tons to choose from. I am sure it will be a success, and you can’t beat the price you are asking.
I’m impressed by your commitment to meeting your summer goals for your kiddos! I have been involved with a program called Masterpiece Art in our elementary school with a similar format, minus any mention of the church’s involvement in the artist’s work. Great that you are able to host the camp at the church and incorporate a little Bible lesson – love it! I’d love to hear more about how you will combine art and Bible study for the kids!
Way to go!!! Lots of luck!
I love the fact that there was a need, and you found a solution. Start your own. Too bad more people don’t just jump in and do it like you. Good luck with the camp. I think the children will love it.
small world! I know Melissa! great idea, you two!!
Yay!!! My friend Christine signed our girls up for the camp bc we’ll be at the beach next week! The girls will LOVE this! See you soon!
What a wonderful idea! It sounds like an artsy vacation bible school!!
I wish I lived close and was young enough to attend… I love art and the bible!
Wow Seleta! What a great idea and like other people have already mentioned I admire your dedication to giving your children more opportunities. See a need and fill it. If we lived in the States and my children were old enough we’d definitely be there but as we’re not I’m sending you best wishes for an exciting camp.
My girls are excited about attending next week. Thanks for making this a reality on 30-A!
I love your spirit! what a wonderful initiative, I wish we lived in your neck of the woods, my girls would love it. I hope you post about the camp each day, I would find it so interesting.
Thanks everyone for all of your lovely comments! It was such a rewarding project to put together. I’m so excited for next week and look forward to meeting some of you and your sweet children!
