Mother nature has been on a rampage lately.  Last weekend she did a doozy on our property in Georgia…plucking out 50 foot trees and scattering them everywhere in her whirling tornado state.  Thank goodness the family who is living in our home was completely safe and untouched.

This week we’ll be spending a good bit of green on repairs from this reckless damage.

Here’s to green.

This is probably a good time to share one of my favorite mossy green paints.

It’s called Sassy Green by Sherwin Williams.  [SW6416]

It’s a strong color and takes a little bit of attitude to use it, hence the name.  And that’s why I love it.

Bold green is good…

And very English chic.

In my mind green will always be a classic, whether it’s fashion or home design.  I’m sure Mother Nature would concur.  I know she can be crazy at times, but it’s hard for me to stay mad at her for too long, as she produces so much beauty in day to day life.  These last few days she’s extended an olive branch with her crisp cool mornings and promising blue skies.  I guess we’ll call it a truce.

So sorry to hear about your Georgia property, Seleta. Glad everyone is safe! And I agree with you- green is always classic. I have a swatch of Olive Tree from Ralph Lauren’s paint line, but I’ve been afraid to follow through with it. After seeing these gorgeous photos with green walls, I think I might be ready to take the plunge! Have a good day :) xx

  2. So happy to hear that everyone and your home is ok! It was crazy here!

Love all of the green things. Green has a way a making me happy…

  3. We are on the same green wavelength, though I posted about the chartreuse variety today. :-) That Amanda Talley art is so wonderful, what is it about her?

I’m glad to hear all is well, but losing trees can be pretty heartbreaking. :-(

I pretty much OD on green whenever possible.
Green and fresh white makes me happy.

LOVE green! :) We have a Benjamin Moore Green called Tortise in our dining room and piano room. With the rest of my house a yellow-gold-wheat color, the green is a great contrast. Calmer than I thought, and much more traditional than I thought—which works for us since my house looks uber-traditional!
Love the first picture with the mirror. That’ll be something I try to do in my dining room.

And so glad no one was hurt with the storms. We are south of Atlanta, but our little neighborhood was completely untouched, while the neighborhoods less than a mile away had lots of trees down and such. Mother Nature sure is complicated.

i love the color green, and you don’t see it on walls very often, which is a shame. my craft room is a lighter sage color, and i love it. yay for green!!

  9. We live in Atlanta and the last week has been something weather wise. Hope your repairs go well. I’m really diggin the green.
