wednesday white

I can’t think of a better way to join you after a hiatus than by sharing a simple tablescape from our living room.  This glorious white shell is fresh from Tracery Interiors.  Anna Kay, one of the Tracery designers, decided to get creative and plant succulents inside.  Isn’t that brilliant?!  I was in cruising around their store a few weeks ago and spotted this unusual beauty from across the room.  Loved it so much I packed it up and took it straight home.

So far, so good.  No plant fatalities and we’re going on three weeks.  As someone who accidentally murders plants, I can tell you this is the easiest mini garden I’ve ever kept.  Apparently these type of plants require very little care and begin to frown if given too much water…my kind of flora!

In other news, I’m back to blogging.  Woo hoo!

Thanks to each one of you for being so kind and patient during my reprieve.  Unplugging was a much needed break and really helped me recharge my batteries and re-ignite my long lost creativity.   I’m happy to be back and share inspiration with you again!  Missed our fun exchanges and comments.

P.S.  If you love the shell, you can order one from Tracery (with or without the plants).  Give them a holla at 850-231-6755.

It’s so nice to have you back Seleta. I have to say, that I have been waiting for you to return – I’ve really missed your posts. And that shell is gorgeous. I’m beginning to appreciate white and cream a lot more than I used to.

    Hello Seleta,
It’s so nice to have you back. I’ve been reading your blog for a few years now,and I really
enjoy reading about your decorating ideas and fashion and also your Beautiful Family. The shell is very pretty with the mirror and lamp.

So glad to know that you are also guilty of killing plants–I’m not alone. We have a cute little trio of gray herb pots in our kitchen–currently containing a dead rosemary situation and a perished thyme tragedy. I have been meaning to replace them with succulents–now I must just put those pots out of their misery and do so. Your shell is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!

    Welcome back.

Welcome back, Seleta! Glad you took some time for yourself but nice to see you back! You were missed. The shell is beautiful. That would make a lovely gift for someone, too. A nice change from flowers. I also adore your mirror!

Welcome back! I’m glad the break served you well, but so glad to see you post again!! Beautiful post for a Wednesday! I might have to grab some succulents; they are so “in” right now (I’ve seen many featured in wedding flowers this year) and easy to take care of! I’ve managed not to kill some fierce African violets that my granddaddy gave me last year. Success!
