As you’ve probably figured out by now, I embrace all shades of white and enjoy it year round. With winter around the corner, crisp whites naturally melt into winter-inspired creamy tones. I like to think of cream in the home as timeless as a string of pearls. Maybe what I find most is its comforting and serene effect on the soul.
We all remember this cream-filled room from the movie, Something’s Got to Give. I actually had to watch it twice because the first time I was too busy oogling the decor and not paying attention to the acting! This dining room still makes me smile.
Lately I’ve been playing around with painting one of my chest of drawers a creamy tone. Looking strongly at the color Elephant Tusk by Benjamin Moore. It’s a luscious dark cream.
In fashion, I think one of my favorite indulgences for chilly days is a winter white coat. Such a sharp look. I think this is Anne Hathaway in Devil Wears Prada?
Adore this winter white coat from Anthro.
QUESTION: How do you embrace winter white in your life?

With recent snow in Connecticut we are having our white days outside. Inside many of our rooms are white styled and peaceful. Thanks for sharing the images. Love the white warm coats and hats.
We are adding marshmallows to our cocoa and whip cream on our pumpkin pies. Love your post.
I must have the white coat, hat and purse. On our way to Anthropology.
It is a Happy Wednesday!
Where can I buy the purse and hat? I love white rooms. Seleta I absolutely love your style.
White is in my bedroom. Love my white sheets and textured blankets – even the bed is off-white. So clean and crisp!
I love off white scarfs and wraps. Pretty pictures today. Thank you for sharing these.
It is Anne Hathaway in Devil Wears Prada. When I find myself in a clothing rut I always watch that film!
I have recently painted my bedroom cream and am still accenting it with white and cream accessories, I never knew how calming it could be. But for winter, I am thinking about dressing it up slightly with hints of green and white (can you tell I have a craft project underway?!) I’m loving all the white.
For the first time ever, I am doing white Christmas decorations. I always use natural greenery, but for the bows, poinsettias, candles, etc. I will use shades of white. This is the first year in our down-sized digs, and I am going to embrace holiday decorating – but not till way after Thanksgiving.
Here in Paris I spotted lovely cashmere winter white wraps in a favorite boutique. I think I will pick up one. J’aime blanc de mercredi!!
I love anything that is fresh, so that means me and white are BFF’s. I got a bday coupon to Anthro. I might have to use it on that coat…
I love Anne Hathaway’s coat. I always see beautiful white and cream coats come winter time and I never choose them because I am afraid I will dirty them too quickly. They really are elegant though aren’t they? I may have to have one this year. :)

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched ‘Something’s Gotta Give’. I bought the movie, just so I can look at the gorgeous interiors!
I have Elephant Tusk in a bedroom and really like it. Beautiful pictures.
Just found your blog. Love it and all of your white selections. Blessings.
I, too am a white addict. I have a closet full of crisp, white blouses and am always on the hunt for more… white sheets and towels are the only ones in my home. And the glossy, white trim throughout my house makes me smile…especially contrasted with creamy walls.
love your new header :)
sparkle on….and you can show us the not so sparkly side too.
It just makes the days that are, that much brighter.
