I’m playing Santa this week and next by sharing some wonderful goodies. Today’s giveaway is from Pizitz in Seaside.
They are giving away their signature Seaside Home Fragrance to THREE lucky winners.
Let me tell you, this is a wonderful fragrance that’s perfect in any abode. They describe it as “a light oceanic fragrance with a fresh green floral bouquet of jasmine and rose, marine top notes in a background of musk.” I love how it’s fresh, clean and not too flowery…it fills your room with happy beach vibes.
It’s gorgeous sprinkled in a bowl. This would be perfect perched on a tabletop next to a lamp and a stack of vintage books.
THREE winners will be selected and announced tomorrow - I’ll also be announcing our Ella Pearl winner in the same post as well.

My favorite beach moment is seventeen years ago when my wonderful husband took me to the beach and proposed to me, seven months later we became husband and wife. A moment I will never forget!
Growing up on the Jersey Shore (not like the show!), my beach memories are plentiful, but it is a different shore that has the warmest place in my memory. My grandparents would take up camping for a week every summer on Assateaque Island in Maryland. It was quite primitive, no electric or running water, just family, sun & sand, wild horses and the occasional summer storm. It was magical way to spend my 1st 25 summers, I hope to introduce my own children to that place someday.
Thank you for hosting yet another awesome giveaway!
That is such an interesting way to do the fragrance!
One beach memory that I will always remember is from when I was in college, back in the early ’80′s, and I had gone to the beach for a week with some friends. We woke up the first morning and for some reason we thought we had slept really late. We all rushed to get our suits on and grabbed our towels and ran to the beach so we could start on our tans! When we got there the beach seemed rather empty but we went ahead and claimed our spots and got busy on our tans. It wasn’t until a few hours later when we found out that it was only 10:00 am! We had gotten to the beach around 7:00 thinking it was much later than it was!
Thanks for hosting this wonderful giveaway! I’ve been enjoying looking at your home in Southern Living. I’m surprised that Coastal Living doesn’t feature you too. Your home would be perfect in their Christmas issue! I guess my story about the beach would be my memory of being stung by jelly fish when I was a kid. It was on Jekyll Island and apparently there had been a school of them reported in the area. I didn’t know about it, until I was stung. I’m happy to report that I’ve never been stung again and am now more aware of what lurks under the water! Ha! I love the beach and don’t get to go as often as I would like. You’re so lucky to live there!
One of my fave beach moments would be when my family went to Flower Pot Island…the beach is all flat stone and at the “edge” it just drops off…it was so awesome being a little kid and just looking down through the clear water at a cliff. (Though it may not of been nearly as big of a drop as it seemed when I was little! :)
This is beautiful! I can think of lots of things to do with it :) I have so many beach memories that are ALL my favorites. We spend lots of vacations in tropical locations and so my story is more of a tradition than story. We’ve been gathering shells and sand from the places that we visit ever since my son was little. It’s a family activity that happens every time we go to the beach. I put the sand in little bottles and label it with the location and date. I have all the shells in a big bowl from all of our travels, too. We do this instead of buying trinkets/souveniers to remember each trip and it’s a lot prettier, too! :)
My favorite beach memory? Collecting sea shells, and white rocks along our walk by the shore with the kids, right before we ate our sandy sandwiches for lunch. We don’t get to the beach often so our collection in a jar serves as a daily reminder of great memories. What a special treat it will be to be able to actually “smell” the ocean as well~ xoxo
My favorite beach memories as a child are of building alligators out sand on the beach in Destin. My current favorite beach activity is looking for sea glass during our summer vacations in Maine.
Oh, I adore Pizitz and always have to go in there when I’m in Seaside. In fact, we’ll be renting a house in Sandestin for Christmas so I hope to visit again while there. I grew up vacationing in that general area but for sure my favorite memory is sharing it with my 3 year old. She loves the beaches there (and a grilled cheese from Bud & Alleys!).
My favorite beach memory was last March when I came with 12 of my closest friends to run in the Seaside Half Marathon and 5K. It was really a mixed bag of friends and we had the best time shopping, hanging out on the porch at our beach house, and eating great food. I’m thankful for such great adult friendship and am excited that we’ve decided to make a return trip this year!
My favorite – Christmas Day walk on the beach after the feast! It is so nice to enjoy our beautiful coastline on this special day – to bottle it up like this gift from Pizitz is genious!
I have many wonderful memories of nursing my babies to sleep under the umbrella and letting their sweaty little selves nap on me!
There are two beach moments from when I was young that I clearly remember. The first was when cousins were in town visiting from a land-locked state. One of my cousins wore contacts and wound up losing one in the ocean.
I’ve also been stung by a jellyfish across both legs. Not fun at all!
My most recent memory was at a friend’s wedding when I just sat on the sand dunes in awe of the majesty of the ocean. I could have sat there all day!
favorite beach moment…..probably the first time we took our girls to the beach. as we approached the section on 30-A where my youngest at the time could see the water, she squealed with delight…”is that it mama? is that the ocean?”
honestly i feel like that every time we visit the gulf coast.
merry christmas seleta
I was very lucky growing up to have a best friend who’s father worked for the Breakers Hotel. Everyday we would go to work with him and spend our days eating the most amazing food and sipping virgin strawberry daiquiris by the pool. Over 25 years later we still giggle about those summers we spent at the hotel. We had no idea then just how fortunate we were – if only we could still spend our summers there – or even a weekend. Of course there was the shark incident one summer but everyone in Florida probably has one of those.
2008 when my now husband proposed on the beach at sunset
I have lots of great memories of the beach since I grew up so close, but my very favorite is the first time I took my son when we was about 9 months old. It was clear from that day that he shared my love of the ocean!!
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Key West. We arrived the day after we were married and headed out to our hotel’s beach soon after we checked in and dropped off our luggage. We spotted a bride and groom having their pictures taken and laughed at the thought that another couple’s marriage was even newer than our day-old marriage. This is such a tiny memory, but I love recalling that day.
My favorite beach moments were playing Gin Rummy in the tent with my grandfather. All our family’s would stop by and visit and play some hands. He made a table of cardboard and bound it with a grid of rubber bands so the cards would stay in place. It was a simpler time.
The Beach at St. Kitts is my favorite recent beach memory! this was the least anticipated port of call on our recent Caribbean cruise. When we arrived we wanted to go to a particular beach, but were talked into a different one by the cabby. Upon arrival it was clear the cabby was in cahoots with one of the beach vendors who set us up with drinks and an umbrella. The weather was terrible, the beach was so so (but any beach is fine with me!), the umbrella was falling apart, but the beach attendant had a great personality and showed us a good time. An hour later it started pouring, forcing us to retreat to the beach bar, we spent the rest of the afternoon sipping rum punch, listening to caribbean beats and conversing with the locals….much more memorable than my plans of sun bathing & reading my kindle!
My favorite beach memories are from my childhood: Getting up at 3am and driving to Destin from Texas, straining our necks to see the ocean, pulling into the beach, stripping down to our little undies and diving into the waves! We just couldn’t wait!
One of my favorite beach memories is from this past summer with my hubby. We made a late night run to the Donut Hole for takeout treats. We went back to our condo and had donuts and coffee while we sat out on our balcony and read our kindles. It was a quiet evening just relaxing together and listening to the waves. Pure heaven!!
My favorite beach memory happened when I was about 12 years old. My family always goes on a trip to Destin, FL with my extended family – aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. My Uncle Bryan decided to rent a jet ski one day and thought he knew what he was doing. I remember him making his way back to shore and we were all standing on the edge of the water waving and cheering. As he was coming in, no one told him to kill the engine and roll up on the sand, so he hit the sand with his foot on the gas. The jet ski got stuck and he went flying through the air! Thinking back on it, he could have been really hurt, but to a bunch of kids it was HYSTERICAL! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
babies playing in the sand.
sand between their toes. rolls. and all in their swim suit.
love. love. love.
One of the best days of my life happened at the beach, it is the place where I married the man of my dreams. Even thought it was nine years ago, I remember it as if it were yesterday.
I still have shells and sand from our ceremony. My Mom is the one that made that day possible so if I won, I would definately have to share this with her.
The best beach moments I can remember are from a youth group trip I took some high schoolers on. We were living in Germany at the time, so we took them down to Italy. Our days on the beach were filled with fun, laughter, and beautiful scenery!
We traveled all the way from South Texas where we live this summer to Seaside by car with our 9 month old son. We had such a wonderful time each day relaxing in the sand with no agenda. He loved the sand. I will treasure those memories.
Being very pregnant with our first (of 4) the day before I went into labor….we spent a relaxing day at the beach. A very special day because it was the last as a family of two!
Growing up in South Florida, I spent most of my time at the beach and on the water. My most favorite memory is of one idyllic day, as I was lounging in my chair, baby sea turtles hatched beneath me, right under my chair!! I helped the tiny little turtles to the ocean and it was amazing! Only wished I would’ve had my camera.
Once, as a child, I found a message in a bottle, all the way from Newfoundland! It was from researchers and my parents had to fill out the tracking information and mail it back..not all that mysterious, but still pretty cool!
My favorite beach moment was when I took my Mom on a surprise autumn trip to Savannah and Tybee Island, Georgia. Neither of us had seen the Atlantic Ocean, so it was very special. I cherish the photos of the two of us on that beach together. Thanks for offering the giveaway!
Sitting with friends on their front porch in Seacrest laughing and talking and we listen great songs and guitar! Not a care in the world.
One of my favorites is encapsulated in a picture I have in my office at work. My grand kids were young, we were staying on the beach in Siesta Key. Every night we would go out to a little concrete wall and sit to watch the sunset. This particular night we were sitting there when a very loud and low helicopter went past. My husband captured this moment from behind and it is just the cutest thing with the two of them looking at me and laughing with looks of surprise – A helicopter is not the sort of thing that usually interrupts the serenity of the beach. The picture makes me smile. And laugh out loud sometimes.
Are all beach memories favorites? :) If I have to pick, I think my favorite one happened this last April when my husband and I took our little dog to the beach for a (very) early sunrise. We were alone on the beach for hours, and so, the pup was allowed to wander off-leash and poke around in whatever suited him. He finally found a small sand crab that he proceeded to circle and bark at, digging a mote around the crab so that the crab was left on a small island of sand. I have never seen a dog dig, dig, dig and bark, bark, bark so much. We took several photos of him, and I swear he is smiling in each one! He always has so much fun, and I rarely visit the beach without him. :)
I absolutely love to take my family’s Christmas card pictures at the beach each year while we are on vacation. Every year I try something a little different and quirky. Sometimes the kids and the husband complain, but those few moments of capturing our family in our favorite place away from home, are cherished throughout the year.
I adore the beach! It makes me at peace with the world.
I will never forget the episode of Friends when they went to the beach. Monica got stung by a jellyfish and she needed Chandler and Joey to pee on her leg. Sorry , gross , but hilarious!
I grew up in South Florida and my favorite beach memory is my grandfather taking me and my two sisters to the beach every Sunday for a stroll on the boardwalk and breakfast.
My favorite beach memory happened after we just moved to the area. This summer our family spent the day at the beach and our youngest, who was floating and relaxing in the perfect emerald waters, said,”I can’t believe I get to live at the beach. Thank you Mommy.” It makes me smile when I think of it!
One night while walking on St Augustine Beach, we came upon baby turtles that had just hatched and were trying to make their way to the water. Nature at it’s best.
My favorite beach moment….my Mother tells me we arrived at the beach for vacation and I climbed up on the potty to look out the window and I had my praying hands clasped and said “Thank-you God for bringing me this ocean!” I still pray when I am near the ocean.

One of my favorite beach memories was when our son was 3 years old and we asked him what he wanted for dinner. He said, “Mama, I want shrimp and a sunset.” So sweet and yet so poignant. We went and had dinner at Pompano Joes and enjoyed some wonderful Gulf shrimp and a fabulous sunset. Second favorite is when my hubby and I renewed our wedding vows on the beach with our children after he returned from a 15 month long tour in Kuwait with the US Army.
We come to Seaside for vacation and I know that scent and LOVE it!!! Whenever we do a beach vacation, we always have pizza on the beach as a family our last night. I know it probably sounds silly but our favorite time on the beach is sunset and early evening and some nights we miss that magic hour because we are showering and getting ready to go out to dinner. But our last night of vacation, we linger as long as we possibly can and eat on the beach. My 3 kids have come to cherish this tradition.
I love my memories of the Jersey shore as a young girl with my family…all crammed into a 2 bedroom bungalow but there was no place else we would rather be! 5 cousins and my grandmother sharing a room every night, hanging the towels out on the line after a day in the ocean. I would love to live near the beach all year long!
well, honestly my entire life has basically revolved around the beach. its my second home. but i always love getting to the top of the perdido pass bridge upon my arrival and seeing the view of ono island and the public beach across the highway. its like a flood of relaxation hits me immediately. and it is ALWAYS welcomed.
My husband and I met on the beach in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. He was a U.S. naval aviator and I was visiting my oldest friend who was a navy nurse stationed at the base in Rota. My love for the beach goes way back-some of my fondest memories are of spending lazy summer days with my family on the beautiful beaches of southern New Jersey…ahhhh
My favorite beach memory is eating the most delicious croissants on the beach with my daughter and watching her build sandcastles!
Seleta,
I was about 5 years old..in the above comment….
Thanks for such a lovely give-away and conjuring up the scent of the ocean…

My husband & I were visiting Orange Beach for our 3rd anniversary. I wanted to get some beach pics of us. You know the ones – the couple wears white & every shot is just gorgeous. Well, I was the photographer. I would set up the shot, hit the timer & run over to him. We were at the edge of the water & he was suppose to catch me. So, pose, click, run, jump…. fall??? He lost his balance as I jumped & we both fell backwards into the water just as the camera clicked. I have the picture framed in our living room of us, feet high in the air, falling. I was quite upset at the time. But it seems that others smile at the story & love the candid moment caught in time.
Ah-h-h! there are so many favorite beach moments. Perhaps one of the best was a family reunion we had 10 years ago at Grayton Beach. Beautiful beach house, riding bikes, family and a gorgeous seashore. wonderful moments, wonderful memories.
Before I married and had my daughter, I spent 2.5 months in capetown, south africa. I remember swimming in the ocean at seven am and it felt like bath water because of the currents from the Indian ocean. Beautiful blue water, greenery everywhere, baboons hollering… Truly magical. So glad I have those memories.
My husband proposed to me on a dock at Cape Cod and we’ve been married 20 years. Thanks for another great giveaway – that store looks amazing! Maria
What a fabulous giveaway!! I love Seaside and Rosemary Beach. I remember the first time we took our daughter to Florida when she was about a year and a half old. She loved running on the sand, with the waves coming in and the water just reaching her toes. She had so much fun.
My boyfriend (now new husband!) and I took a trip to the Hamptons a few months after we started dating. It was winter so it was cold there (but not as cold as Minnesota!), perfectly quiet and peacefully secluded. We walked the empty beaches during the day, huddled together in a hotel blanket on the beach under the stars at night (did I say how cold it was?), and it all just never seemed to end. We both felt this was when we first fell in love, and has always remained a very special place to us!
I had a great time in Seaside just this past October. I enjoyed the beach, but the highlight definitely had to be the flea market that weekend. I got a great hand-knit scarf that I just adore. I was lucky to get it because it was the last one – and, I admit, I got some dirty looks from a couple of other ladies who were eying it while I tried it on. I was careful not to put it down and quick to pay!
Most of my favorite beach moments happened in Seaside! We took my daughter there when she turned 1. It was amazing to experience the beach through her. Last year we took her back (she is 3 now), and she kept calling the sand “snow” because it is so white! It will be fun to tell her these stories when she gets older.
One of my favorite beach memories was when I was in High School and my mom took me to Florida to visit her Aunt who lived on a private beach. My mom was just dying to lay out and I am not one for sun, so I indulged her. It started to sprinkle and my mom just plain refused to budge. I sat there with my towel over my head, begging her to go inside! She just lay there and laughed!
I got engaged on the beach!! Memories don’t get much better than that :)
I made this huge whale in the sand at the Jersey Shore when I was 16. I have so many memories but I have a photo of this one and that’s why I remember it so clearly.
Growing up, each summer we spent a week at the beach with my mom’s side of the family – 8 kids and 7 adults. Super fun and loads of good memories.
awesome! Congrats on Southern Living too! Melaine
I have several favorite beach moments, but my favorite was when my family and I were walking along the beach and a live seahorse washed up. My granddaughter was about 5 years old at the time and she played with it in her sand bucket that had the ocean water in it for the longest time. We eventually put it back out in the ocean but would have liked to have kept it as a pet.
My favorite beach memory is from a family trip to Hawaii. I remember standing in the surf with my dad and brother and let the waves push and pull on us.
It’s been ZERO degrees here. Up to 20 degrees at the moment. Remembrances of the beach… ahh…
Growing up in California and Hawaii I have always loved going to the beach, but having married a Chicago boy I am now locked in the midwest. But, I love every chance we get to visit my parents in Wilmington NC throughout the year. My favorite part is watching my oldest daughter Lily when we visit the beach, rolling in the sand and running in and out of the waves even when we are there at Christmas time!
Ironically enough, many of my favorite beach memories have taken place in or around Seaside! My favorite recent one though was introducing my husband to the area this summer on a road trip. We ate at Bud&Alley’s and took a walk through town and on the beach!
I grew up in a beach town and one of my closest friends and I wanted to sleep on the beach before we left for college… I do not know why my parents let me but we did it! Just my best bud and our sleeping bags under the stars! Great memory!
All is right with the world when you are at the beach. I spent summers and holidays in Palm Beach growing up and my fondest memory is of walking along for hours with my grandmother looking down at the sand in search of the perfect shell.
I saw my first shooting star on the beach in Palm Beach 3 summers ago with my boyfriend who is now my husband of just over a year! We’re returning to the same beach next week for vacation!
Oh, the beach sounds heavenly right now! One of my most memorable beach moments was that is where my very first kiss took place! I was very shy and had my first kiss at 17! Funny thing….that boy, now a grown man, looked me up 2 weekends ago! After all these years he still remembers that kiss and was hoping I was single. No, happily married! It was fun to talk about old times though. Thanks for the chance on your lovely giveaway, Seleta.
My favorite has to be thirty years ago. I was seven and playing in the sand, when this young couple came over to me and asked what I was making. I told them a clown. As they walked away, the lady said that someday she hoped to have a little girl just like me. I often wonder about those two people, if the stayed together, and if she ever got her wish for a little girl. I hope she did.
Probably sitting on the beach on Isla Mujeres, while on semester in Mexico “studying.” All us girls Topless with men coming around selling us coconuts they’d split w/ machetes.
oops, i forgot to mention im off friday for my second masectomy – so maybe my chest will look like college even when I’m in the nursing home :)!
My favorite beach memory would be listening to “Sweet Caroline” on the radio and playing in the sand. Every time I hear that song it takes me back to the beach.
Wow, that looks great! I would have to say my favorite beach memory, would be when I was a little girl, going to the beach with my family, as it was always a show. We would take a boom box, beach chairs, umbrellas, a big cooler, and always, always a bucket of KFC. To this day I always remember those days every time I eat some fried chicken.
Seven years ago we were blessed to spend a week near you in beautiful SeaGrove. One night a terrible storm came and the kids were so scared. The next day we walked out onto the white sand to find the storm had washed up the largest, most beautiful star fish one could imagine. The kids drew a big Christmas tree with a stick in the sand and put the starfish at the top. All the cousins crowded at the bottom for the cutest Christmas card photo ever!
My oldest memory, not necessarily my favorite memory, was when I was 3 years old and got lost on the beach in Newport Beach, CA, at our family’s annual vacation. Even though I was very young I distinctly remember walking until sunset, finally being stopped by lifeguards and watching my family jump out of the lifeguard jeep running towards me with open arms. I don’t remember be the least bit frightened. My mom has a completely different memory of that day. Go figure!
I am from an island so it is hard to say! So many great memories growing up. I miss the water so much!!
One of my favorite beach memories happens to be from the time I was seven years old. My family would always rent the same beach house in Long Beach, NC. It had no air conditioning and we always kept all the doors and windows open. The house was elevated and ocean-side so we always had a great breeze. We’d spend all morning on the beach and then at lunch time, my younger brother and I would get a bath, sit on the front porch and eat our lunch, and just stare at the ocean.
Thanks so much for sharing one of my all time favorite stores also. As a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, I also just melt into the atmosphere upon entering Pizitz. Isn’t it just dreamy? I bought my dining room table from them and am totally in love with it! It is built like a tank and one more etching of family memories will be welcomed for years to come. As college sweethearts from Louisiana, my (then) future husband and I vacationed in this area when all you saw was the grove! Moving to this beach was just a dream until 2009 when my husband (retired from the military) was offered a position here in the panhandle. I think we left rubber on the road in DC to get here before our sanity ran out! ABSOLUTELY BLESSED and GRATEFUL!
My favorite childhood memory is spending the summer in Ocean City, New Jersey with my siblings and all of my cousins. I have such fond memories of spending the days on the beach building sand castles and boogie boarding, and the evenings eating Mack N Manco’s pizza on the Boardwalk. I really do miss those days. :)
My family spends Christmas at the beach every year. We all meet up from different parts of the country and spend the week reading books, eating and playing in the sand. It is something to look forward to the whole year. Now we have the first baby of the family and we all cannot wait to experience everything through her eyes. So exciting!!
I have lots of great memories, but some of my most favorites are the times I’ve spent in the ocean with my kids. You know those days where the water is so calm you can see the bottom and every now and then there is a gently rolling wave to float over. I just love those days…. :)
Island hopping in the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand will be a memory I will never forget! Private boat, clear water, white sand, and great company!
When I was 4 I think we went to California and my dad taught me how to dig in the sand where it bubbled after waves to find creatures (sand crabs? I can’t even remember haha). All day at the beach I did that with my dad and I’ll always remember how much fun it was :)
favorite beach memory is hard because i always love being at the beach. but a few years ago, girlfriends and i went to the beach in alabama. beautiful beach. sunny skies. cold diet cokes. and my favorite girlfriends. idyllic.
I love their scent- wanted to buy it last summer but just couldn’t! Favorite beach memory would have to be from this past summer right where you are! My baby boy loved to wrap his legs around my waist and just float out in the ocean. So sweet to see the sun on his face!
My favorite beach experience was when I turned 50 I promised to go to Sanibel Island. I am a beach fanatic!! It is where I feel the best, it is good for the soul. I collect sand from all over the world I have over 100 different sands from Greece, to Italy, Bora Bora, Japan, Viet Nam and the list goes on and on. I then put the sand in antique bottles and put a sticker telling where it came from and put a cork in the bottle or a seashell. It has been a blast and a great experience. Sanibel Island is one of the top 5 beach’s for seashelling. Which I collect them as well. It was my dream to go there on my 50 birthday. So my hubby, brother and sister in law and niece went there for a week. I was so excited as I went across that bridge to Sanibel. I was like a little kid in a candy store, collecting my seashells. I had too buy an extra suitcase to bring home my 10 bags of seashells and 2 bags of sand. We took a boat to Cabbage Key and watched the dolphins swim and play with us all on the boat. What a beautiful experience. I get excited just thinking about it. Well, tomorrow is my 57 birthday, I won’t be going to Sanibel this year due to the wonderful economy. I still can dream of the time I got to spend there at Sanibel Island with my hubby and brother. We had a blast, we did the Everglade experience, the Ford and Edison summer home experience. Tomorrow is my 57th birthday and I can’t think of a reason I wouldn’t love to be the recepient of such a wonderful offer of a beautiful bottle of fragrance. The packaging is beautiful and I need a new fragnance. I would be so grateful to receive this fine gift. Thank you and have a wonderful day!! Dee Devine
My favorite beach memories are all from our honeymoon we took to Bora Bora. We stayed in the most wonderful, private resort and just enjoyed being husband and wife.
My favorite time at the beach actually happens a few times a year. Living 20 miles from the Gulf, my hubby and I like to take spontaneous trips down to the beach, spread out our waterproof blanket and watch the stars. It’s a great way for us to share something we love and a way for us to reconnect. Sometimes we invite others, but most of the time it’s just the two of us. It would be wonderful to have these”good-smells” to bring those memories to mind.
Love your blog!
The first time we took our three little girls to my favorite beach, Sconset on ACK.
It was a heavenly sunny September day. No crowds, just us and the seals.
My favorite time at the beach is at sunset… we’ve all returned to the beach after showering the day away and now we’re walking in the surf watching the sun go down. Gorgeous time of day! I always associate that time with a relaxed and happy state!
p.s. my daughter has your shoes! We LOVE them… super fun and sassy!
What a wonderful looking bottle of pleasure!
My favorite beach memory is body surfing with my three sons at Debordieu. The water there is long and shallow for perfect surfing.
Any day at the beach is perfect, but to me nothing is better than sitting on the porch watching a thunderstorm roll in over the water.
Hanging out under an umbrella with my best friend, Sharri, reading books and watching the waves. I will never forget that trip.
My favorite beach moment was getting caught in a thunderstorm. We huddled under our big beach blanket. When we peeked out of our little tent, we were the only people still on the beach. We laughed and giggled like we were 12 years old!!!
I would definitely say that my favorite beach memory is marrying my lawschool sweetheart at Seaside….
It is actually a recent memory. I was on a beach in Galveston with my three grandchildren. It was getting to be the golden hour of the day, you know, right before sunset. I looked at the kids and the way they were all golden from the light and having so much fun. It was just a simple, beautiful moment that made me realize yet again that the best things are right in front of your eyes. Thank you for your generosity! Love all of your photos!
My favorite beach moments are at Seaside or Rosemary where we enjoy the beach, sand and water….then we end the night at the Red Bar and Seaside shops. So fun! Now that we have a litte girl she we are making new beach memories!
My favorite memory is this past Thanksgiving Day just a little east of Seaside. The weather was perfect. Not a could in the sky! We played volleyball on the beach most of the day. Stuffed ourselves with cajun fried turkey and all our favorite sides. It was such a joy to see our dog relaxing on the dog friendly beach and enjoying a much needed vacation with my family for the first time in over 3 years.
The sunset was one of the most beautiful shades of orange I’ve ever seen and stretched so far it was truly awesome! With sand in my toes and a shells in my pockets, I wouldn’t want to spend Thanksgiving any other way.
My favorite beach memory is watching baby sea turtles hatch and make their way to the water. The story of how they make their way back to the same beach where they hatched is some a beautiful work of God’s art. Being able to watch it is so special.
Mine is my little boys finding a crab and being so in awe!
