wednesday white

Working on an upcoming post showing different ways to style a piece of furniture from this gorgeous line.  I wonder if you can guess which of these chests I selected?  Hint: it’s classic with a modern twist and forever in style.  I’ve been staring at it in my living room for three weeks now.

Speaking of classic style…I needed to find some pretties for the post, so I stopped by Bohlert-Massey Interiors, owned by my friend, Susan Bohlert-Massey.  Susan is a talented interior designer and always has delcious accessories in her showroom, such as entire walls filled with John Derian plates of all sizes and gobs of shells in unexpected containers.  Fell in love with these…

Susan is revamping her showroom in preparation for a custom line she’s soon to launch.  Everything there was in flux, including these coral friends who were taken off their lucite perches and darted across the floor.  Even on the rug they looked like art.  Isn’t nature beautiful?

If you fancy any of these lovelies, you can give Susan a ring at Bohlert-Massey.  850.231.3940.  And if you’d like to see more of her beautiful design work, go check out her portfolio here.  I suggest perusing her work with a nice cup of hot tea or sparkly glass of champagne.  You’ll see what I mean when you get there.

Stay tuned for a pretty style session next week!

Just checked out her site…beautiful work! I especially enjoyed her lighting choices. The music is a bonus…perfect for a rainy day of domesticity! I’ve got it going in the background now. Thanks for sharing.

I love sea shells! There are so many ways to use them in design. I especially love tabby touches in beach home design. Sea shells are always classic.

The word that comes to mind is opulence. Beautiful website and I love how sea shells etc. are used. I have GOBS of shells from many Sanibel Island vacations and they are all over my house in vases, bowls, trays etc. They are like little pieces of art! I can’t wait to see what you do with the mystery chest!

Just beautiful. I’ve been thinking that I need to grab all the shells around my house and devote a special place to them. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.

    Dear Seleta,
Thank you so much for your March 1st post about overcoming your loss after being robbed. About 10 years ago I was robbed by the moving company I paid to move me from one state to another. I don’t know if I will ever completely get over it. They not only took things of monetary value but many things that had a greater sentimental value. I could never figure out why. I just have to remind myself that it was just “stuff” and not my physical self that was harmed.

I'd love to hear from you!
