for laughs

Summer is always wild in our house.  I’d be lying if I told you that once you entered the front door you see nothing but a clean and organized space during these playful months.  It’s more of a tornado meets fraternity party kind-of-scene.  Lots of activity and noise.  Example:  I typed this post amongst a pile of legos and empty juice boxes at the kids’ play table in my sweaty riding clothes riding habit after returning from the barn.  One kid was at afternoon Math camp, one was playing these dress up games online…and the youngest two were sprinting through the house in costumes.

Can you just smell the potpourri of madness?

On that note, I spotted this video that reminds me of what probably happens when I ask the kids to tidy up the playroom or their bedrooms.  Not sure if you’ll think this is as funny as I did, but something about the randomosity of these tasks made me laugh.  I actually watched it a few times.   Perhaps it’s the pillows duck taped to their stomachs?  Or the fact that nothing whatsoever is being accomplished?  Either way it’s funny…

Cheers to the crazy times that make you smile.  Happy Monday!!

I’m pretty sure this is what happens when I ask my boys to straighten up. Also fascinating – they appear to be under 30, yet they have a significant stack of cassette tapes? Maybe I’m not such a dinosaur after all.

Yeah, the cassette tapes got me too. Not sure what it’s supposed to be. My kids just shove it all under the bed! At least these guys are creative.

I walked into the room my 3 girls share and they had taken the finials off their 3 beds and were walking across the top pretending it was a balance beam.

Such a funny video- reminded me of my sister and I as kids cleaning up our room…just sent it to her.

I'd love to hear from you!
