School officially started this week. It’s always a time where I feel like I want to get my ducks in a row and clean up from the summer household chaos. Here is a shot of our not-so-little ducklings the morning on the first day. Can’t believe how much they’re all growing! Usually they bicker during this shot – remember last year’s pic? This year there were no qualms…guess they were too tired.
Whenever school starts I get on a mission to organize and clean. Nothing in the cleaning department happens fast around here because our life is super busy, especially now that I’m teaching. So I try to pace myself and do one thing at a time. Spotted a set of cleaning checklists which I really liked. It breaks it all down and makes cleaning seem less daunting.
I’d really like to attack our pantry and get some order there. It would make packing lunches and cooking dinners much easier. Found these adorable FREE labels along with a great pantry organization tutorial over at The Social House. How to post is here.
She did all of her stylish organizing using items from the Dollar Tree! Hello inspiration.

Wow they really are growing up great!
Your kids really grew over the summer! Here in Virginia we still have 3 weeks (!) until school starts. The school season always makes me want to do a deep house cleaning. Nobody makes it look more beautiful and do-able than Martha!
Thank goodness we have a few more weeks before school begins. The Alabama State Legislature voted to delay the start of school, since it was getting earlier, and EARLIER!!!
I think I’ll take a tip from you and get ready for some big organizing!
My grandson discovered some candy in my cupboard that “expired in 2004″ and counseled me, “Granny, you have to be careful about this stuff!” He’s 10!
Yikes!
Wow your kids are gorgeous. Can’t wait till Monday’s giveaway.
Time passes so quickly! Your children are growing so fast.
Your kids are gorgeous! My 3 boys start school this Thursday and it will be the hottest week this summer in Northern Ca.
I can’t believe how big the kids are gettin’. Time sure flies.
That pantry is amazing. Someday I will have it THAT together. For now, I’m still attempting by best at keeping my ducks in a row.
While you are organizing how about hopping on a plane to Japan to help me?? ;) Can’t believe summer is over already and kids are back in school. Where has the time gone?
They are all so leggy now! Your baby is a long way from his crib and that is when I started reading your blog…you were transitioning him to a bed. It’s interesting that the older two have the same eyes and the younger two have different albeit same eyes. Lovely children!
I love those labels! Thanks for the tip! Your family is beautiful too
HOW did they grow so much in just a year! Wild!
