autumn thoughts

Who’s ready for fall?  I sure am.  Lately our mornings have felt so crisp with the tiniest feel of autumn in the air.  After surviving five months of temperatures that could easily rival Hades, this weather shift makes me very happy.  Thought I’d share some images that inspire our change of season.

A snippet of the Southern Living Idea House by Interior Designer friend Paige of Tracery Interiors.  Yum.

Would love to have a dinner party that’s styled just like this.  I can just smell the butternut squash soup simmering…

This would be dessert.

No clue who makes this sweater/jacket, but love the whole look.

Had to throw this beauty in for good measure, as he blends nicely in our color palette today ; )

Hello adorable bookshelves.

If you love that bookshelf color as much as I do, here’s the info: Farrow & Ball Downpipe.  Mmmm mmm.  It’s the bottom one in this line up.

Farrow & Ball Down Pipe

Final thought for the day…think I’ll give it a try!

Hi! I just had to write you and thank you for recommending “one thousand gifts”. It is truly life changing. I am so amazed at how this little book ended up on my stool next to my bed! I can’t remember how I found your blog but I am so glad I did! I love looking at your pictures of clothing and reading your blog. This book has changed my eyesight! I am only on page 70 by the way! It is one the most amazing books I have ever read. So grateful
