wednesday white

I forgot that it takes me about five days to recover from the intensity of a horse show.  It’s super fun, but 72 hours of vigorous riding, horse care and hauling tack all while juggling kiddos.  Then you get to load everything back up, bring it home and unpack it all.  I’m beat!  We arrived back in town late Sunday night.  Despite our exhaustion, we had to get up early on a rainy Monday morning and go to school and work.  Lots of sleepy heads that morning.  By 8:30pm I was in my pajamas and sound asleep – little ones were reading their bedtime stories on either side of me and husband was busy pecking away on his laptop trying to catch up on work.

Today’s post will be short and sweet, so I’ll share some current whites I like.  I continue to obsess over work toward stylish home organization and pin pictures such as this.  Love the white details merged into the books.

Found these adorable equestrian trophy vases at Tarjay last week.  LOVE.  I want them all.

Here I am analyzing.

I’ll admit I get bored shopping for practical things like paper towels and trash bags.  So I took a detour and wandered into the dishes section only to find this collection on clearance – the plates were like three bucks each.  How could I say no?  Believe it or not, I don’t own white plates.  So this was a practical purchase.  Now we have eight dinner and salad plates.  Who wants to come over for dinner?  I have two open spots ; )

On a fashion note, I plan to keep wearing my white jeans for a while.  I mean, it’s like 96 degrees every day until late December, so why not?  Many of us in the South negotiate our wardrobes with heat and humidity well into the fall months.  That being said, I love the look of neutrals and autumn tones paired with white.  Although I’d change the shoes to a darker tone.

I also love putting creams and tan boots with white jeans and doing a whole winter white vibe.

Speaking of fashion, I’ll be back with a sassy giveaway.  Hint:  it’s a perfect accessory for your Fall wardrobe.

  2. Lori H says:

Somehow I missed the trophies today! Will have to return to Target. BTW, your toes look pretty – what color are you wearing? I never really thought about how much work went into a horse show…I just saw the competition part.

You have a very busy life but it sounds like a lot of fun! I like those dishes. They remind of the Emma pattern from Pottery Barn. We have the Emma dinnerware in cream but I’m liking those white ones, too! Love your shoes, Seleta!

  4. Liza says:

Well, inquiring minds want to know. Did youn buy the jars? Tres cute.

  5. Seleta says:

Pve you’re always so sweet. Thank you : )

Lori, the nail color is called Thrill of Brazil. It’s a true red.

Allison, I just might have those PB dishes…for our pasta nights! Ours are cream toned.

Liza, no haven’t bought them yet. Now I can’t stop thinking about them! Could kick myself.

  6. Hope says:

I need to look for those trophies in my Target. 1st Place, all the way!

  7. annette says:

I have yet to find a pair of white jeans I love. What are your faves?

  8. Seleta says:

Hi Annette, I struggle with the same. Jeans are so hard!! I actually have a pair of JCrew outlet white jeans from forever ago…they fit better than their newer items. And the other pairs I have are from White House/Black Market and Anthro. Both more than 2 years old, ha ha! So I may not be the best person to ask ; )
