Love me some white in a home office. Surprised?
I think I like a white table or desk because it makes a work space feel so clean and crisp. And I’m certain I’ll never tire of West Elm’s classic parson’s desk. I’ve strongly considered buying one for years, but never pulled the trigger.
I found a cheapie version over here. It’s $200 LESS and measurements are nearly identical. Not bad. Not bad at all. I wonder if it’s amazing in person? The legs are obviously not as fabulous as West Elm’s version, but I think this has potential to be cute.
I think I’m now inspired to spiffy up my work space.

Our kitchen counters and table are white and I love it in a sea of granite.
It sure makes it easy to see when things need a good swab and sparkle.
If they ever decide to re-make a modern day “Snow White” – I cast you as the lead role…..whistling while you work.
My desk is white too….and always has a fresh apple or piece of fruit….to keep me going.

What I meant to say is that everyone seems to have granite counters and our’s being the first to brave white….maybe we need an all white shop….tee hee.

seleta, i have the smaller version of the desk, the mini desk, from west elm. i love it! i first used it for my sewing table, now it anchors 2 twin beds in a guest room. i was pleasantly surprised by its quality and sturdiness when i got it. pam

Seleta, I just had to pin this for a little home office inspiration. Just love the simplicity. Have you seen the Ikea long skinny and laquered version? I’ve been keeping my eye on that one.
I have that knock-off version and have had it for about 4 years. It’s great, but it doesn’t have a high gloss finish like the West Elm version. I’m planning on purchasing 1 mini-desk for each of my four kids. They’re just too cute!
Great office areas! We’ve had an all-white home office for about 15 years and still love it. :)
Oh, I simply never tire of all that white goodness either! My daughter has the Parsons Desk in her room and I love it!
I went to WestElm’s website and they have a photo of the Parson’s Desk in 6 cool finishes… however, they only sell the white and dark brown. Wish they sold some of the others bc they are AWE-some. Anyone have ideas of how to get any of those???
oh… I figured out my own question! I shopped the Parson’s collection and they show all the different finishes besides black and white. The natural grass cloth is cool!
