merry christmas

Feeling very blessed to be surrounded by family and loved ones this holiday.  It’s been one heck of a year and I’m sure we’re all counting every single blessing in our life.  Wanted to extend warm wishes to you and yours and share our Christmas card, photographed by Beth of Caroline Heirloom Photography.

Last night Santa stayed up until around 3:00am, if you can believe it.  He printed out these free, adorable monogrammed labels to put on our many packages.  He’s crafty like that.

Ta da.  These labels come in every letter and could be adorable in just about any entertaining, organizing or party situation.  So much comes to mind.  They could be darling printed out on gold-toned paper, hole punched, and tied with velvet ribbon to be used as place cards for a festive New Year’s Eve dinner.

This morning the children awakened just after the crack of dawn.  Every parent’s brutal hazing into the true Christmas experience.  The sounds of their laughter as they opened gifts lifted the heavy fog of sleep deprivation and filled my heart with joy.

Lots of play today.

And some unexpected mid-morning crashes too.  New bear and bunny from here.

Now our house is quiet and we’re taking time to gather around the crackling fire and simply enjoy each other’s company.  Crumpled wrapping paper is scattered around our tree, chicken is roasting in the oven, and happy voices echo through the house.

Feeling so much gratitude for our togetherness.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year.  Back soon with some sparkly thoughts for 2013.

Hi TL, it’s actually a kate spade piece. I think it’s called the bib necklace? I don’t see it on their site anymore, but you might be able to find one on ebay!
