We got all crafty last night.
Well, I should qualify that. The men in our family vanished and the women folk were left to their craftiness. The guys later came home with dinner for us all. Not a bad deal.
It was such a fun night. Can I just tell you how much I lovvvvvve doing projects with my little detail divas? We printed out the cute Valentine tags I told you about last week and the girls actually glued those tags onto red card stock and added personalized messages on them…THEN cut out little hearts in this free printable and made pop ups and attached to their finished cards. I tried to photograph them but they sealed their little treat bags so fast I couldn’t keep up! It is so fun watching them channel their creative side : ) I enjoy my children more and more as they get older, it’s so cool.
I continue with my jar obsession. So we made some extra special treats for teachers in addition to the cards. This time we made toppers for the tiniest little mason jars I’ve ever seen. So cute I could squeeze them!!
We filled them with pink candy corns, I typed a little message for the tops and the girls and I cut them down to size. We’re not exactly candy corn gals, but the colors were just too fun to pass up.
SILHOUETTES ON THE JARS:
1. For my oldest daughter’s jar tops I used a fun little font called DJ Horses. You can download it for free over here. I use it all the time.
2. For my youngest daughter I used a silhouette font that’s super feminine. It’s called CK Silhouette. Also free and can be downloaded over here. There are only 13 characters but it’s so sweet.
. . . . .
I was planning to take pics this morning of the kids all dolled up in their Valentine colors (with their hair styled/brushed) but it was complete madness trying to feed them and get out the door. The girls ended up brushing their hair in the car. Reality always kicks my bootie!
Have to brag on my sweetheart, who just brought me some beautiful white roses and a bag filled with all kinds of goodies. Love you husband.
Wishing everyone a Valentine’s Day filled with love.
