One of my favorite shops in Seaside is Pizitz – a delightfully chic home design boutique. You may remember getting a glimpse inside on my detailed walking tour around their place a while ago. I swear the moment you walk through the doors your blood pressure radically drops from all the creamy whites and soft tones.
You may be asking, “Where is the town of Seaside?” Read about our little beach town over here. A cool balcony shot showing a portion of Seaside.
Some good news: Pizitz just informed me that they are having a 30% sale from now until September 30th on ALL custom orders on their Lee Industries and Cisco Brothers lines of furnishings. Hello. If you’re in the market for any new upholstered furniture, I would definitely check that out!
This ottoman is one of my faves. Embarrassing admission – when no one was looking, I actually sprawled out on it once to test its wonderfulness. I did not want to get up.
On a personal note, we purchased our family room sofa from Pizitz back in 2007 and it’s still going strong – and it happens to be my favorite upholstered piece yet.
Remember how I told you I originally started the Seaside Neighborhood School Ballet program in Daryl and Robert Davis’ living room? Ha haa, it’s true - that post over here. Well, this particular home of the Davis’ is filled with beautiful Cisco Brothers furnishings all from Pizitz. We sure started the ballet program in style ; )
All of these pieces are incredibly comfy and well crafted. The classic yet edgy wingbacks are on my “someday” wishlist : )
You can see more gorgeous design inspiration and Pizitz’s portfolio of design here. I also follow their pinterest page, which is full of chic style inspiration over here. Feel free to contact them if you’d like more info on their 30% custom furniture sale.
. . . .
On another fun note, Seaside is hosting a birthday party in memory of Bud, the most famous dog in Seaside.
Ever wonder why you see the dachshund logo on many Seaside items? Bud’s story is here.
Bud was a dashing dachshund owned by founders Robert and Daryl Davis – he accompanied Robert to work every day and helped connect the community. Everybody knew Bud. Everybody loved Bud. He made it to 21 years old and is now making new friends in doggy heaven.
Bud’s party is a fun and free event for all! Hope you can drop by to enjoy the cupcakes, balloons, games, and prizes. We’ll be there : ) I’ll bring Pippi along with the kids.
