a few good buys

Time to lighten things up around here after my last two posts.  Flooding and concussions, geesh!  I’m surprised if anyone is still left over here ; )  Wanted to share with you a few super good buys.  NOTE:  each picture is linked directly to the item.  Let’s begin with this super cute tarjay top I found a while back…it’s the prettiest blue and has little sailboats all over it.  Perfect for spring and summer.  Great with white shorts or a pencil skirt and heels.

I was waiting to post on this top until I had a stylish pic of the whole ensemble, but gave up and just shot a selfie in the car.  It’s where I spend much of my time, so I guess we’ll call it a reality shot, ha.  I wore it with white jeans and my kate spade necklace.

Fashion hint:  if you’re ever tired (like I am 110% of the time) try wearing a complimentary color around your face – it will perk up your coloring and help mask the tired look.   My go-to color is blue.

Another goody I found while trolling around target (when I was supposed to be picking up cleaning supplies) ahem, is this little jacket.  LOVE.  Nothing cheers up a rainy day quite like polka dots.  It’s super lightweight and perfect for summer rain showers, which we get a lot of around here.

This adorable throw I’ve been stalking for months.  It was originally $70 but is down to $29.  Just ordered it today and used the code “2sunny” for an additional 15% off, so I wanted to share with you before it goes.  Although I haven’t seen this in person, it looks promising in the image – nice that it’s 100% cotton and not some poly blend.  Great preppy, graphic pattern.  I bought two to toss on the backs of my off white linen chairs for a summer look.

And speaking of preppy, I might pull the trigger on this adorable weekender.  The price is perfect and I love the navy accents, plus it’s a practical purchase.  As our kids get older, I swear we’re always running out the door on a road trip with bags in tow.

So there you have it, a few good deals and some steals.  Happy shopping!

Blue is your color Seleta! That blouse looks so pretty on you with your blue eyes and dark hair. Very striking! That jacket is darling. Anything with polka dots makes me happy. I haven’t been in Target for awhile. I need to pop in for that jacket. Hope you are feeling much better after your fall.

I love that blue top and wish I could wear it. Living in Houston, the weather is usually too warm to wear anything but natural fabrics. I always feel as though I am missing out on the cute, reasonable stuff. Your Kate Spade necklace is amazing.

  8. I have that sailboat top, and I love it! You look fabulous in it :)
