wednesday white

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like their May calendar just exploded?  Whew, this week is a doozie.  Here are two kitchens that completely relax me.

I don’t think I could get stressed out in this room.

From the very first day I became a mom, I had to learn (and still continue to learn) the art of accomplishing a few significant things versus many things at once.  Before kids I could easily work around the clock and never blink.  My to-do list was complete and accomplishments seem to come in droves (although I didn’t realize it until post-kids).  Things radically shifted when I became a mom, haha.  I remember struggling to figure out how to get a shower, cook a meal, and have a clean house…in one day.  And my kid wasn’t even crawling yet!  It was like trying to run in quick sand.  But as any good mom knows, kids come first, so you have to prioritize and pace yourself.  I felt so frustrated, and still do at times, when I couldn’t seem to get done all that needed to get done.  By baby #4 I was a comedy act when it came to accomplishing anything significant in one week, forget one day.  But it’s all worth it.  And I wouldn’t change a thing.

Some wise words to apply for those of us juggling.  Very good thoughts.

I feel (as my mother often says) like I’m meeting myself coming and going! This post was much needed. Thanks!
