classic bows for the win

Whew, the first official Monday back from the holidays was rough, I barely survived.  The good news is that’s over and we’re all here.  Let’s hit the restart button and launch the week with some pretty things.  Bows are one of my very favorite fashion and design accents – I don’t know what it is about them, but they make me happy.  In fact, a lot of my clothes and shoes have some type of bow accent, so I have to be careful how I pair things.  Today I’m sharing some of my favorite bows I’ve seen around lately – many are on sale.  All links and commentary below.  Note: one of these items is something free that you can do on your own.

1.  Yes to this sassy red top with a striped bow.  Please excuse the dull in color in the collage, my program is antiquated and I have no idea why I lose bright colors when I upload.  **This top is some ridiculous price like $17 with the promo SALEONSALE and sizes M-XL are left.  If you’re a small I think you could get away with wearing this type of shirt a little baggy/loose and still be adorable.  They have all sizes available in the black version, which is classic and super cute.

2.  For the home – love these adorable bow sconces.  Comes in three different finishes and black or white shades (the polished nickel is my fave).  How cute would these be in a powder bath or entryway?!

3.  This double bow sweatshirt is darling.  I would love to wear a cozy sweatshirt this sassy.  Sold out on JCrew’s site, but found it over here.

4.  I spotted a blogger from across the pond wearing this little dress over a black turtleneck and it looked so Chanel-chic.  LOVE!  It’s a steal.  I mean $24, come on.  Note:  I have ordered from this site before and it does seem to take f-o-r-e-v-e-r for the item to deliver.

5.  Yes to this bow seam pencil skirt for a great statement piece in your wardrobe.  Over here.

6.  Love the idea of painting a bow on a kraft paper wrapped gift.  Great for a gift any time of year, especially V-day.  Bow packages source here.

7.  LOVE this tied bow workout top.  Not gonna lie, I want this.  It’s nice to feel girly and fashionable in workout wear, and this is a perfect, long term piece.  Solid black in all sizes here, striped and on sale in limited sizes over here.

8.  Last but not least, I’m enamored with this personalized bow stationery.  This could be a sweet V-day, hostess, bridal shower, or even graduation gift.  I love that you can play around with the personalization and all the fonts – try it it’s fun.  This comes both classic white and in blush  for those of you who love pink.

So glad yesterday is over – it was like the whole day was hexed.  Today it’s raining and grey, but soooooo much better than yesterday so I’m grateful.  Hopefully this post lifted some of those post-holiday blues any of you may be feeling.   I’ve gotten out my gratitude journal from last December/January and started filling it out (to keep perspective on the blessings each day brings) plus I’ve allocated time to exercise so both of those help lift the blahs that can come with this time of year.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!  xo
