I’m Seleta.  Wife, mom, designer and style seeker.  Welcome to my blog, where I shamelessly gush over all things stylish and share snippets of life with my husband, four children and furry creatures. We live a not-so-average life at the beach.  My faith and family are most important and all else comes second.  That being said, I’ll confess to a healthy dependence on pearls and pretty things.

I’m a bit of a rule breaker, love finding a good bargain, and make a mean latte.

With memories of early childhood days in Mississippi and a passion for growing up in Atlanta, you could say I’m a city girl who appreciates the simple beauty found in the day to day.  My creative roots sprouted from the moment I could hold a crayon in hand and have grown throughout my life.  Although my career began as a TV personality for ABC in Savannah followed by FOX in Atlanta, I couldn’t help but flirt with interior design on the side.  By 1997, I began work as a residential designer for a firm in North Atlanta.  In the span of 11 years, I worked on everything from historic homes nestled among azaleas to chic flats in the city.

Soon I met the love of my life.  In the blink of an eye, we were declaring our marriage vows in a romantic chapel by the sea.  Four children later, our lively gang moved from the burbs of Atlanta back to the beach to follow my husband’s career and play out a few of our dreams.  I decided to take a break from TV and design and focus on our family.  Life has never been better.

In 2008, I started Simply Seleta as a way to share inspiration for designing a beautiful life.  I don’t always have it together, but have fun laughing at myself along the way.  These days I spend my time keeping up with our active family, enjoying life at the beach, and soaking up the memories we create together.  One pearl at a time strung to make a lovely necklace, the story of our life.  Not every table in my house is perfectly styled, but they are surrounded with the ones I love.  And that’s what really counts.

Hope you stay to delight in the daily inspiration, occasional madness, and perpetual style seeking…
