war eagle winner

We had a ton of War Eagles in our Deja Vu giveaway!  So I’m not surprised Auburn grad, Susanna #76, won a pretty game day dress.  Congrats Susanna!!!  She’s expecting a little one, so her crazy for orange dress will be perfectly chic AND comfy to wear while cheering on her team.

.   .   .   .

On a personal note, our oldest daughter (who’s only 9) has already stated that she has plans to attend Auburn and ride on their rockstar equestrian team.  Maybe we might have a future war eagle?  ; )

Here’s a shot of the Tigers competing at UT this fall.  It was a 13-5 win for Auburn.

And here’s my little peanut practicing the other night.  Look at that determination.  Sorry for the blur, it’s a screen shot from an iphone video.

If only Georgia Tech had an equestrian team!  She’d be all over it : )

.   .   .   .

Congrats again to Susanna and her little pea pod!  You’ll look great in that empire dress.  Big thanks to Deja Vu for a fun giveaway that got us all in the football spirit.

wow

I just wanted to thank you for sharing a little bit of your heart in last week’s post.  Each comment moved me and some even brought me to tears.  I thought long and hard about these shared thoughts over the weekend.

It’s interesting how we can see something and have no idea what is behind the surface until we take the time to look a little further.

Life is so much more than zooming past each other and smiling and just saying hello.  Don’t you think?  I like being able to stop and connect beyond  hello.

This is an interesting, exhilarating and thought-provoking journey we are all on.  From one day to the next we are offered curious moments, celebratory moments, roller coaster moments…and sometimes moments where we need to stop and just breathe.

Thank you for sharing a snippet of your life.  These kind of posts are definitely my favorite.

Prayers and hugs.

fab friday: chic tailgating

One of my favorite boutiques here at the beach is Deja Vu, owned by talented friend and fashion designer, Stephanie Nichols.  Stephanie’s line of clothing oozes vintage chic juxtaposed with a dash of modern flair.  As I sit here typing, she’s zipping around in Paris on the hunt for European fabrics and haute inspiration for her 2012 spring line.

Stephanie’s latest Fall collection includes ”game day” dresses.  These are playful and flirty frocks, perfect for a fashionista who wants a luxe approach in boasting her team colors.  Brilliant idea.

TODAY’S GIVEAWAY:

One Deja Vu GAME DAY DRESS of your choice!

Let’s look at few of Deja Vu’s game day creations…

The black and gold dress.  Check it our right here.  Soft knit, which I love.  Can you believe the flowers on Deja Vu dresses are not only removable but magnetic so they can easily be moved around???  Makes for a very versatile dress.  For a whole different look, you could take off the flower…I think it could be presh with boots, a few strands of pearls and a cardi or scarf.

Next we have the Blue and Orange.  War Eagle much?  Then say hello to the Eye of the Tiger dress.  Dying over the perfect ruffled edge and sassy striped flower.  Navy is so classic.  Again the flower is removable which gives your wardrobe that added versatility.  I would definitely wear boots with this bad boy.

The block party dress.  Right here.  Could also be fun paired with one of Deja Vu’s chunky belts.

The mod dress.  Adore!  Scoop neck with crocheted red and black pattern.  If I were a Georgia Dawg, I’d be going for this one.

Deja Vu has a selection of 45 amazing DRESSES (and shorts) to choose from.  Check em all out over here.

HOW TO ENTER TO WIN:

Easy.  Just list your team and which dress you would like to win.  Screaming for your team is allowed and totally encouraged.  I expect to see some serious football spirit today!  Winner will be announced next Tuesday.  One entry per person, please.

Happy FAB FOOTBALL weekend!!!
